Dragon Ball is full of heartbreaking moments, and one of them was undoubtedly the death of Gohan from the future that was narrated in the movie Two Warriors of the Future: Gohan and Trunks.
In an alternate future of Dragon Ball Z, a universe is an apocalyptic place where all the Z warriors were killed at the hands of the infamous Androids 17 and 18, except for Gohan and Trunks, who 13 years later are the only survivors in a future as bleak as ours.
The entire story of this alternate future of Dragon Ball is a true drama in which the Androids continue to devastate the Earth, while Gohan becomes a mentor to the only Saiyan who could save the universe.
The story, as you may recall, includes Gohan’s imminent assassination, but if this Dragon Ball arc wasn’t so, so sad, Toei Animation’s freelance artist Fenyo-n broke our hearts with a moment illustrating Milk crying. the death of her son Gohan, along with a Bulma who tries to comfort her and a Trunks frustrated by the murder of his mentor, while his grandfather seems puzzled.
In the original version, it is Trunks who finds Gohan lifeless after fighting Androids 17 and 18. The original sequence is just as bleak and tearful with Trunks known only in a battle against a couple of villains. indestructible.
At the end of it all, Trunks makes the decision to travel to the past to remedy the future … but that unworthy moment of Dragon Ball will always remain nailed in our hearts.
